We know the area is prime rattlesnake country, but hadn’t spotted one yet. Thankfully, it seemed completely uninterested in Emily’s presence and just casually slithered away. Kind of exciting and a little nerve wracking!
We also saw some really interesting and beautiful metal statues. Everything from wooly mammoths to velociraptors and bull moose were just scattered across a hillside along the highway. Don’t you just love art for art’s sake?
The end of the day found us at a laundromat that doubles as an old-fashioned soda fountain. Ice cream while you wait for your clothes?
Yes, please!
